The economy may be hurting, but you wouldn’t know it at Tek Tools Software - at least from an outsider.
This week the company announced that it closed the second quarter 2009 with an increase in revenue of 45% over the same quarter the previous year.
So what fueled the growth?
According to the folks at VMblog - who kindly recognized this achievement - it was Tek-Tools Profiler Suite.
Due to the heavy demand on IT deparments to cost effectively manage virtualization, servers, storage, backup, and application - many managers turned to Profiler. The powerful IT resource management software suite gives IT managers that much-needed end-to-end visibility into both virtualized and physical resources. In fact, Profiler installations accounted for 57% of revenue in the second quarter. At the same time, Tek-Tools added 57% more customers and increased new business revenue by 36% over the second quarter last year.
Other highlights in the quarter include:
- Tek-Tools was recognized as a “Challenger” in the Magic Quadrant for Storage Resource Management and SAN Management Software Report.
- Tek-Tools Profiler Suite was validated as a “VeriStor Certified Product” by VeriStor Systems. - The company issued two whitepapers written by renowned storage and virtualization industry analyst and founder of Storage Switzerland George Crump. “Maximizing Your Server Virtualization Requires Understanding Its Storage” explains the important effects of server virtualization on storage management. “Total Capacity Management” focuses on capacity planning in the three key areas – storage, virtualization and backup – and explains the importance of a single view of IT infrastructure for informed decision making.
It’s nice to see that companies across the board are finally beginning to appreciate, and need, end-to-end monitoring and reporting for their virtual and physical IT environments. Profiler simplifies the complex management process - and it SAVES money.
Tek-Tools Software is no longer a rising star in the world of IT resource management.
It has risen - and it’s shining brightly.
